Product Characteristics:

DMI has high values of dielectric constant (37.6 F/m at 25°C, 1MHz) and dipole moment (4.05 - 4.09 D), resulting in high solubility and solvation effect compared to similar solvents.

Thanks to high boiling and flash point it can be handled easily. Additionally, it has excellent stability under acidic or alkaline conditions even at higher temperatures.

Applications:

  • Reaction solvent for synthesis of pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, and polymers

  • Detergents, additives, surface treatment agents

  • Electrolyte additive for extremely long life zinc metal batteries

  • Solvent in inkjet printer inks to improve print density, drying resistance, and storage stability

  • Surface treatment of fluorine resins like Teflon to improve epoxy resin adhesive bonding strength
