Custom Group Tackles Growth Through the

Addition of Two New Project Managers

Tess Stranick & John Averona, RCI's New Project Managers, Custom Services

Richman Chemical Inc. (RCI), a leading provider of custom chemical manufacturing and sourcing services, is pleased to announce the hiring of two new project managers to support its ongoing business expansion. This strategic move aligns with RCI's commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction as the company experiences substantial growth.

The new project managers for the custom division, Tess Stranick and John Averona, bring a wealth of experience and expertise to RCI. Their roles will focus on new and innovative technology areas, streamlining project workflows, enhancing communication with customers and vendors, and ensuring that RCI’s overall project management services meet the highest standards of quality and timeliness.

Tess joins RCI with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Health Services (IHS) acquired from St. Joseph’s University (Philadelphia, PA) in 2021. Upon graduating, she joined Orasure Technologies (Bethlehem, PA) as a Formulations Specialist. While there, she accumulated a wealth of laboratory and scale-up experience, successfully piloting a GMP colloidal gold process necessary for various testing/diagnostic requirements.

John completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Temple University (Philadelphia, PA) in 2018, followed up by a MS in chemistry from Drexel University (Philadelphia, PA) in 2021. John comes to RCI with experience in polymer formulation scale-up during his stint as a Research Scientist at Armstrong Flooring (Lancaster, PA). Following that, John transitioned to a role as Senior Scientist with PPD/Thermofisher (Collegeville, PA) where he gained experience within the life science and drug development environment.

“Both Tess and John fit nicely into our current stable of exceptional project managers,” stated Christopher Kulp, Chief Operating Officer at RCI. “Tess’s excellent track record within a life science and scale-up environment has clearly prepared her well for handling high priority project work. John’s experience both within the life science industry and a polymer-based plant environment nicely complements the project management team’s ever-expanding technical skill set.  We are pleased that both Tess and John are contributing so readily with respect to RCI’s planned growth strategy.”

The addition of the new project managers comes at a pivotal time for RCI. Over the past several years, the company has observed a notable increase in client inquiries and project engagements. This growth is a testament to RCI’s reputation for delivering high-quality, reliable, and innovative solutions to its customers.

RCI has been a trusted partner in the chemical industry for over 36 years, offering a wide range of services including custom synthesis, toll manufacturing, and raw material sourcing. The company’s ability to adapt to market changes and meet the evolving needs of its clients has been key to its long-term success.

With the addition of Tess and John, RCI is well-positioned to capitalize on new opportunities and continue its trajectory of growth. The company remains committed to investing in top talent and resources to ensure the highest level of service and satisfaction for its clients.
